Weighted Wiggle Board

This balancing device had weighted compartments and was supposed to help with core strength, balance, and posture. Standing on it while shifting your hips was marketed as a great way to engage stabilizing muscles. But in reality, it was a glorified plank of wood.

Users fell off regularly, twisted ankles, or sprained knees trying to maintain balance. Without handles or support, the wiggle board required circus-level agility and offered little reward. Most people just gave up and blamed the floor for being “too uneven.”
