Arm Spiraler

A true oddity, this device consisted of a small crank attached to rotating bars that spiraled your arms in circular motions. Users stood with their arms inserted into loops and spun them for minutes at a time. It promised firmer arms and improved blood flow—basically, a fancier version of flailing wildly.

The repetitive motion often led to shoulder strain, and the spinning mechanism could jerk unexpectedly, causing hyperextension. Worse still, it made you look like a malfunctioning robot on laundry day. It may have moved your limbs, but it did little for strength or tone—except maybe the courage to never try it again.
