Step aside, CVS — 100 years ago, pharmacies in Bucharest looked like something out of a wizarding movie. Shelves lined with mysterious bottles, wooden counters carved like they belonged in Dracula’s summer cottage, and not a single fluorescent light in sight.
This was a place where you didn’t just grab ibuprofen — you got a tiny glass vial labeled in Latin, handed over with a serious nod and maybe a sprinkle of magic dust (or cocaine… it was the 1920s). Forget self-checkout — back then, you needed a monocle and possibly a spell book to find cold medicine. Now that’s customer service!
