Grandma Saved Her 1924 Valentines — In Frames!
Forget dating apps — my grandma peaked romantically in second grade, circa 1924. She kept and framed the Valentine’s Day cards she got that year, like a true sentimental queen. These vintage love notes, complete with curly handwriting and innocent flirtation, are now proudly hanging on her wall like a shrine to playground romance.
Honestly, it’s the cutest (and most committed) thing I’ve ever seen. While we’re out here getting ghosted, she was getting hand-written hearts at age 7. Lesson learned: never underestimate a second grader with a crush and a shoebox full of charm.
