#29: Black Scorpion (1980)
“Galactica 1980” was a spin-off of the original “Battlestar Galactica” series, airing on ABC from January 27 to May 4, 1980. Set years after the original, the show depicted the Galactica fleet discovering Earth, only to find it technologically unprepared to combat the Cylon threat.
The series faced challenges, including a reduced budget and limited involvement from original cast members, which hindered its ability to recapture the original’s allure. Consequently, “Galactica 1980” was canceled after just ten episodes.
