Women Wore Fake Eyebrows Made of Mouse Skin
In the 18th century, thick, dramatic eyebrows were all the rage, but eyebrow pencils weren’t around yet. So, many women sported little patches made of actual mouse skin. They’d stick them to their faces to give the illusion of full, perfect eyebrows.
What was considered chic and trendy back then just seems gross to us now. But back in the day, mouse-skin brows were a total style statement. Just another example of how far people have gone for beauty, no matter how bizarre it seems today.
