The Quepos Bridge (Costa Rica)

The Quepos Bridge in Costa Rica is known locally as the “Bridge of Death” or the “Oh My God Bridge.” Located on the Pacific coast connecting Jacó and Quepos, this bridge was originally built for banana transport. However, it’s now severely dilapidated, and makes a rattling sound every time a car crosses it. Having never been repaired since its construction in the 1930s, the bridge is in extremely dangerous condition.

The entire bridge is crumbling, and it suffers even more damage each time a large vehicle passes over it. Furthermore, the narrow width makes it impossible for cars to pass each other, and the wooden planks are not secured with nails, making it difficult to cross safely.
