They made an appointment with the doctor to rule out any possible health issues concerning Emily. “It’s better to be cautious,” John insisted.
Though she felt perfectly fine, Emily agreed. At the clinic, they described Max’s odd, persistent behavior. The doctor listened carefully, nodding as they spoke.
“Let’s do a full round of tests to be safe,” she recommended. Emily underwent several exams—blood work, scans, and a complete physical checkup.
Throughout it all, Max remained close, eyes locked on every movement, refusing to relax.
