Bullmastiff
Despite their large size, Bullmastiffs often act like smaller, more playful dogs. They can occasionally display aggressive tendencies, but with proper training, they become loyal and protective companions. They have the potential to be excellent with children, especially when the child is old enough to handle and confidently guide them.
Bullmastiffs naturally look for leadership from their owners, so establishing firm and consistent dominance is important in their upbringing.
