Talking Tina Knockoffs
Inspired by the infamous “Talking Tina” doll from The Twilight Zone, these knockoffs featured garbled voices and creepy phrases. Many malfunctioned, speaking randomly or even with batteries removed, spooking children.
Their distorted voices and unpredictable behavior gave the impression they were haunted. Parents frequently removed them from homes, fearing the dolls were too scary or “possessed.” They remain one of the creepiest examples of novelty toys gone wrong.
