E.T. Finger Light Toy
This toy mimicked the glowing finger of the alien E.T., slipping over a child’s finger and lighting up. Unfortunately, the rubber exterior often became sticky and grimy, and the light bulbs overheated, sometimes causing minor burns.
While it captured the magic of the film, the toy quickly became more gross than magical. Kids often found it uncomfortable or unpleasant to use, turning a beloved movie prop into a slightly disturbing plaything.
