Titlis Cliff Walk (Switzerland)

The Titlis Cliff Walk, opened in 2012, became a hot topic as Europe’s highest suspension bridge. Apparently, it was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Engelberg-Gerschnialp cable car line in 2013. Approximately 130 million yen (about $1.2 million USD) was invested, and it took about 5 years to complete.

Although it is a suspension bridge, it is solidly constructed, with no lateral swaying due to the wind and ample space for people to pass each other. However, because the surrounding area is a snow-covered mountain, you can sometimes experience the thrill of blizzards caused by strong winds. In fact, the UK’s “Daily Mail” reported it as “the scariest suspension bridge in the world.” However, during the peak of the snowy season, the bridge and mountains are colored pure white, offering a very beautiful view.
