Giants of the Sea
The world is full of fascinating wildlife. Today, we’re focusing on humpback whales, some of the most remarkable creatures in the ocean. Humpback whales are giants, reaching up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) in length, weighing in at 80,000 pounds, and living for up to 90 years.
What’s more, male humpback whales can sing melodies that travel up to 20 miles. But encountering these magnificent creatures while out on the water isn’t easy. Still, some lucky whale watchers have captured those moments. Photographer Tobias Hägg is one such person, using drones to beautifully capture humpback whales partially submerged in the water.
