Where Did He Go?
This is the last photo of kayaker Andrew McAuley. In 2007, Andrew attempted to kayak solo across the Tasman Sea, hoping to become the first person to kayak from Australia to New Zealand. Sadly, he didn’t make it, and his capsized kayak was found off the coast of New Zealand. In a tape recovered from the kayak, the late adventurer said, “I hope I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew.”

Andrew died doing what he loved. This haunting photo, recovered from his camera, is a testament to that.
